We are happy to introduce our Pastor and Elders.  We are appreciate our leaders as God designed.  God has set these people in leadership and given them a vision for The Ridge.

John grew up in Berne, Indiana, and attended Taylor University. He started his career out as a math teacher, but the Lord called him into ministry while attending Calvary Temple in Naperville, Illinois. Shortly after he began attending there, he met the love of his life, Eileen. They were married less than year after they met.

He obtained credentials with the Assemblies of God, and was the pastor of a church in Melrose Park, Illinois for nearly 15 years. John and Eileen were then led to Nebraska, where they pastored a Missionary Church in the town of Weeping Water.

He was called by the Ridge to be the pastor in October of 2017. In between his pastorates, he has taught high school in high-need areas, and been a Chicago Uber driver, logging over two thousand rides.

Eileen has extensive training in prayer and deliverance ministry. She has remarkable ministry skills working with those in difficulties and pain.

The Mosers have been married for 35 years, and have nine children, eight of whom have left the nest and live literally coast to coast, from Massachusetts to California. The life verses that the Lord gave them as they entered marriage were Hebrews 12.1-2:

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Andy and his wife Angela have been active members of The Ridge since 2008.
He is a Network Administrator at Benicomp Insurance group and has been working the IT industry for over 20 years.  He attended Simpson University in Redding California and Indiana University – Purdue University in Fort Wayne.  Andy and Angie have been married for 18 years and have one adopted son named Logan. Andy and Angie host a Bible study at their home.  He is also a part of the sound crew.  His responsibilities as an Elder includes IT, Security, Benevolence and the Skate Park Ministry.  Andy loves to spend time with his family especially in the great outdoors as they go camping frequently.

His desire for the church is to empower fellow believers to be doers or the word outside the confines of a church building.  “If our pinnacle expression of faith is to sit in a chair for two hours on a Sunday, than how are we going to love others?”

James 7.14 – 18:
What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”

Paul is a licensed therapist with Dockside Services and part-time counselor with Safe Harbor LLC, working with residents at the Rescue Mission. Paul and his wife Bonnie have host and facilitate a small group at their home. They also minister through the Word and song once a month to residents at Miller’s Merry Manor and the retirement community of Salem Manor.
Paul has been a discussion group leader with Bible Study Fellowship for the last eight years.  Bonnie ministered in Caracas Venezuela for 15 years as a missionary with her first husband before his unexpected death.
Paul grew up in Indianapolis and lived nine years in Texas. He completed his undergraduate degree at Taylor University and his Masters at Liberty University in professional counseling.
Paul became a Christian in 1971 after attending a Campus Crusade for Christ seminar on sharing our faith and discovered that he didn’t have a faith to share even though raised in the church. At that time he surrendered his life to Christ.
Since becoming a Christian, Paul has had two passions: reaching people snared by the cults and understanding Scripture, having had six years of Greek and three of Hebrew (incomplete M.Div from Grace Theological Seminary). As he gets older, Paul is more concerned about wisdom than just accumulating knowledge, living up to the light that he has been graciously given by God.
His life verse is Galatians 2:20:
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
